Setipiprant did not antagonize thromboxane receptor (TP). The bronchoconstrictive properties of PGD2 are not inhibited by setipiprant because these properties are mediated by TP receptors. As a contrast, ramatroban is a selective TP antagonist and DP2 receptor antagonist.
Setipiprant did not significantly inhibit the activity of cyclooxygenase 1 (COX-1), which is responsible for the synthesis of prostaglandins (including PGD2).
